Your trip starts with the visit of the Domaine des Aubineaux, colonial house of the late 19th century, where you will be immersed in the history and discover the antique furniture dating back to "Compagnie des Indes" (17th century).
You will drive through Bois Chéri, the first tea plantations of Mauritius in the village of Bois Chéri, where you can discover the process of tea manufacturing.
The Sugar Estate, Saint Aubin, in the South is another stop on the Tea Route. The process of sugar manufacturing will be explained with the opportunity of tasting rum and lunch will be provided at Saint Aubin Restaurant.
You will be immersed in the history and discover the antique furnitures dating back to "Compagnie des Indes" (17th century).The first house residence on the island to be outfitted with electricity has been converted into a museum.The house is surrounded by a beautiful botanical garden , ' Le Parc Floral du Domaine des Aubineaux' with camphor trees , flowers , exotic plants and endemic trees.The Domaine des Aubineaux's shop will offer you a wide range of local products inclusive of specialities produced by Groupe Saint Aubin .

You will discover the process of tea manufacturing. In the tea museum and factory , the guides will show the visitors the harvested tea leaves and the factory whilst explaining the different steps of production , from harvest to packaging. Nowadays the tea museum produces a wide range of black teas, green teas , white teas, flavored teas and herbal teas. Visitors may continue the tea tasting in the chalet , Le chalet du Domaine de Bois Chéri overlooking the domaine and Le lac des Cygnes du Domaine de Bois Chéri, a truly unmissable experience . The lake is surrounded by the first tea plantations with tea plants of at least 125 years old. There is no way to experience its beautiful greatness than stop and breathe it in.
The process of sugar manufacturing will be explained with the opportunity of tasting rum. It is the first producer of agricultural rums made of sugarcane juice in Mauritius and is still producing the Mauritian best agricultural rums. Spices and natural tropical flavors are mixed successfully with our white rum to bring additional flavors. While strolling around the botanical garden of Domaine de Saint Aubin , the children will love the visit of the small farm of Domaine de Saint Aubin and enjoy kid's corner.
