Guided Tour & Lunch at La Vallée de Ferney

La Valley de Ferney is a 2800 ha private domain located on the South East Coast of Mauritius at the foot of Lion Mountain. An historic site, where Dutch landers first settled, it is today home to one of the last endemic forest of Mauritius.

Come experience the unique feeling of walking within a native forest, discovering and participating to the protection of the endemic fauna and flora of Mauritius. Exploring La Vallée de Ferney means more than just to take a ramble; it provides an unforgettable experience in a unique place, where the pleasures of hiking are associated with environment protection. With only 2% of native forests left in Mauritius, Ferney La Vallée is home to a 200-ha conservation zone where multiple endemic plants and birds are being reintroduced every year. The famous and unique Kestrel birds live in the Vallee and can be seen every day at noon for the Kestrel feeding.  The guides take you along a ±3km well marked trail and safe routes within the forests. Dance on the rhythm of bird’s songs that reminds us of the simple yet unmatchable beauty of nature.

A lunch will be available at Le Falaise rouge restaurant , where you will be able to enjoy a delicious 3 course Menu by picking from a selection of tasteful dishes that will surely delight your taste buds.
