You will start this beautiful day discovering the Cathedral of St. Gabriel, known to have been the largest church in the Indian Ocean until 2002. During the descent and also from Eau Claire, we will enjoy a surprising panoramic view on Hermitage Islands, Ilots Chats, Gombrani, etc.
We will then reach the South coast at Port Sud Est, flagship place of the Naval history Rodriguaise, now famous for its "ourites" (octopus). We continue along the south coast through hamlets against the background, the azure sea contrasting with the yellow of the grass burned by the Sun.
Here and there we will see dried octopus in the sun, commonly called Ourites, a typical painting of the island. You will have the opportunity to visit the reserve of François Leguat located in the south coast of Rodrigues a few minutes from the airport. You will discover giant turtles that were introduced into the Reserve between 2006 and 2007 and today the number is around 1200 individuals living in the Reserve.
