Bird watching

In Mauritius, we find 9 species of living, endemic bird species.

The tour takes place in the Black-River Gorges National Park, in which we have opened through the years, hundreds of kilometers of trails, and very exclusive, protected, and breathtaking spots. From there, we will be able to enjoy a nice little picnic and the amazing show of the curious native birds.

The tour lasts more or less 4hours and guarantees you will have an unforgetable moment embracing nature and animals in their natural habitat.

More about:

In late 1950's species such as Mauritius kestrel, Pink pigeon and Echo parakeet were in immediate danger of extinction, and although numbers have grown they have not yet won the war of survival. In 1974 only four Mauritius kestrels existed making it the rarest bird on earth.

Today there are more than 350 birds in the wild. Thanks to an intensive program of captive breeding, although the bird is still on the endangered species list.  For the passionate nature lovers , the team  offers you the opportunity to discover these species in their natural habitat, on a bird-watching tour planned on a half day basis.
