Ile aux Aigrettes & The Mauritian Wildlife Foundation

Travel back in time to discover what Mauritius would have looked like over 400 years ago, before the arrival of man and his devastating impact on the environment.

Discover the remarkable work carried out by the professionals of the Wild Life Foundation at Ile aux Aigrettes,  a Nature Reserve anchored meters off the south east coast of Mauritius .

With an expert guide leading the way, walk along the rugged trail and discover the unique population made up of rare endemic species of the Mauritian flora and fauna; the Pink Pigeon, a cousin of the Dodo, the Ebony forest, the Ornate Day Gecko licking nectar from flower buds and the Aldabran Giant Tortoise.

*The main objective of the tour is to help finance the Ile aux Aigrettes restoration programme and raise awareness about the conservation work undertaken by the Foundation.
